Benefit Specialists

The purpose of the Benefit Specialist Program is to provide advice and assistance to seniors regardless of their income. The goal is to provide expert assistance in helping older persons with the extensive and complicated paperwork that is often required in benefit programs. The Benefit Specialists receive training, attend workshops and participate in peer counseling classes to meet the qualifications needed to help senior citizens. They are available to assist persons in solving problems which arise in public benefit programs, Medicare Part D, medical and long-term care insurance options, consumer issues, and financial problems.
